The Weeknd, in the words of Drake got rich off a mixtape. ‘Thursday’, ‘House of balloons’ and ‘Echoes of silence’ were so popular he was able to combine the 3 in to an album called ‘Triology’.

I was able to go to The Weeknd’s first UK concert at Electric Ballroom in Camden in March 2013 and by November 2013, he was selling out the O2 arena just after his release of ‘Kissland’. It was pretty amazing to witness how quick this all happened. He went from a small venue in Camden with zero budget to O2 arena with all the gear in just 8 months, see for yourself…
