Barcelona has now topped my list of favourite cities so far. This place encompasses the three C’s: creativity, culture and chill-time. You get the liveliness of the city with the chilled vibes of a pretty decent beach, probably my perfect destination.
La Sagrada Familia
Gaudi
Arc De Triomphe

The architecture here in Barcelona is breath-taking, witnessing the creativity of their well-known architect Antoni Gaudi is a beautiful thing. He pushed the norm, even until this day. I guess, it will always be a timeless piece of work.
Streets of Barcelona

I fell in love with the use of graffiti here, I’ve always been a big fan of this type of art. But, as many know it can be seen as a negative in most countries. Here, it is almost controlled graffiti and a pretty clever way to advertise their shops while the shutters are down.
Love it!
Beach don’t kill my vibe!

Bike rides in Barcelona

One of the best ways to sightsee this beautiful city is to hop on a bike and get on your way. This was the best way to spend our Sunday before flying back the next day, just watch out for the hills. It will turn out to be a pretty intense workout otherwise…
Food: Seafood at its best
Every night we made sure we ate out at different restaurants, trying a new dish and overall the standard of food here is incredible. On our first night I decided to try the black rice paella for the first time and it was amazing!
All of the restaurants on the Las Ramblas strip were pretty good, but L’Esglao is were we headed to on our first night. So, I’ll definitely recommend there.
Oh, and if you love cocktails you’re in for a treat. Near enough every restaurant does cocktails here and seemed to be happy hour pretty regularly.
