Welcome to Belfast!
I went to Belfast to catch up with friends with no real expectations of what Belfast would have to offer. The only idea I had about Belfast was around the pub culture and that is what I really wanted to experience.
Live music, alcohol and friendly locals.
On this note, Belfast definitely delivered. Possibly exceeded. The pubs and bars were on top form, probably still high with Christmas spirits…
From singing along to ‘Sweet caroline’ to witnessing a pretty amazing guitarist/violinist duet.
Cathedral quarter
Cathedral Quarter was a really cool place to head to with friends, it had a pretty quirky steer to it. If you have not noticed from my previous posts I’m always a big fan of street art/graffiti, so I loved it when I saw this.
It’s a pretty small area, but you have some really cool pubs and bars no more than a few minutes walk from each other. You’ve also got some nice restaurants just there too.
Perfect combo for a good night out.
Live music
I thought it would be worth sharing some of the live music from the short weekend trip, which definitely got the crowd going.
Definitely refreshing to see people willing to let their hair down and go for it on a weekend haha
Also, as some may know I love to travel, but what makes it special is making memories with good friends or family for me.
It was a short and sweet trip, but always good to catch up 🙂 even if they’re halfway across the world or down the road. It’s always worth making the effort.
Cheers to friendships that began at our first ‘proper jobs’ to still going strong despite living in different countries/towns.
