Ireland (Portrush)

This summer me and a friend took a trip to visit our friend over in Northern Ireland (Belfast), we went there last year just after Christmas and I fell in love with it straight away. If you’ve read my previous blog posts then you would know how great it was.

So, this year we went over in the Summer and she showed us the beautiful sights of Portrush, which was about an hour drive from Belfast city.

In just a short drive away you have some real iconic sights such as ‘The Dark Hedges’ (a must see if you are a GoT fan), ‘Dunluce Castle’, ‘The Giant’s causeway’ and ‘The Carrick-a-rede rope bridge’.

Hopefully just from the images taken you can see how beautiful it is there, but honestly it doesn’t do it justice. The views from there were stunning especially if you are lucky with the weather like we were.

Also, while we had our weekend in Portrush we took a trip to the Bushmill’s whisky distillery. If you are interested in alcohol in any way, which if you are taking a trip to Ireland I’m pretty sure you are, then I would definitely recommend taking a quick visit here.

It was pretty cool to see the process taken to create different flavours of whisky and the free cocktail at the end wasn’t too bad either.

As always I love to end my posts with the memories made on the trip and thought I’d showcase the best pics of us 3 together: 1) when we attempted surfing (I just floated for awhile), our trip to The Giants Causeway & a surprise birthday celebration they done for me. This was the cutest thing they could have done and just made the trip that little bit more special with all of us celebrating together.

Got to love friends you can sightsee, have a laugh until the early hours with and to celebrate together 🙂
